Pretty in Pink
Kelley, her two beautiful daughters and I finally got to meet up, since last time our photoshoot was canceled because of rain. This time we got lucky with the weather, it was a beautiful day, with a little breeze once in a while that was messing with the girls’ hair but not too bad. Our biggest challenge was the location and then Kiera’s transition glasses. We had to wait for the sun to really get behind the mountains out at Calico Basin so her transition lenses would go clear. Then we could get some photos where we could see her beautiful blue eyes instead of hiding behind a darker shade of glasses. On one of the photos posted you can see her glasses are still a bit dark, but I thought it was such a cute photo of her, I had to share it.
Kelley did such a great job on picking out outfits. I loved the colors and was in love with the girls matching pink cowboy boots. Anyone that knows me, knows I normally wear my cowboy boots if I’m not photographing a wedding or a high-end event. But that day I couldn’t because I had a big cut on the back of my heel, so it was a tennis shoe kind of day for me. Too bad, otherwise it would have been cute… me with my cowboy boots and the two girls with their cowboy boots as well.
The girls bought some props with them to represent activities they did this year in school. What a great way to remember what they were into when looking back on photos in the future. Hopefully it will be something they keep doing each year. It would be nice to look over the years to see what they were up to or what activities they get interested in growing up.
I couldn’t have asked for cuter girls, they were all about taking photos and they were so photogenic including their mom. I just can’t wait to do a shoot with their dad in the fall, they will be perfect family photos.
